Alumni Association

The Graduate School of Biomedical Engineering at Tohoku University was established in April 2008 and has since accepted, trained, and produced many excellent human resources from Japan and abroad. As of AY2022, the Graduate School of Biomedical Engineering will have over 600 graduates.
The Graduate School of Biomedical Engineering is the only independent graduate school specializing in biomedical engineering in Japan. With the recent establishment of departments related to biomedical engineering in Japan, the social responsibility of the Graduate School of Biomedical Engineering to lead Japan's biomedical engineering and realize its implementation in society has become extremely important.
Biomedical engineering is an interdisciplinary field that is constantly and dynamically changing following the needs of the times. The Graduate School of Biomedical Engineering is required continuously to develop human resources who can contribute to the development of Japan and the international community by incorporating social needs and information, and by deepening research and education. We have established the Tohoku University Graduate School of Biomedical Engineering Alumni Association to exchange information, collaborate and cooperate with alumni in various fields of society.
We will implement activities with alumni with the cooperation of the Tohoku University Headquarters and the Tohoku University alumni "Shuyukai." We will also use the alum database that the university has already established for the membership list. We will strictly manage and operate the database in compliance with laws and regulations and protect personal information.
