The Laboratory of Biomedical Engineering for Cancer (Kodama Laboratory), Graduate School of Biomedical Engineering, Tohoku University, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the National Cancer Center of Mongolia in June 2025 to promote collaborative research on cancer treatment.
Under this agreement, the Graduate School of Biomedical Engineering and the Graduate School of Dentistry at Tohoku University, together with Iwate Medical University and the National Cancer Center of Mongolia, will jointly conduct clinical trials on the “Lymphatic Drug Delivery System (LDDS)” developed in our laboratory, within an international research framework.
Through this international collaboration, we aim to accelerate the development of innovative cancer therapies, particularly for the treatment of lymph node metastasis, and contribute to further advancements in cancer research.
