ATTN: University House & International House Residents

For students returning to the dormitory from overseas

As a measure to prevent COVID-19 infections, the government has instructed persons entering Japan from abroad to quarantine at a hotel near their arrival airport, or another designated facility, for two weeks upon arrival.
This two-week quarantine applies not only to new arrivals, but also to those reentering Japan after leaving temporarily, and those already en route to Japan.
Consequently, students who have a dormitory Residence Permit will NOT be allowed to move in to their rooms unless they first quarantine at a hotel etc. to confirm they are in good health. Please note that returning residents CANNOT use their dormitory rooms for the two-week quarantine.
If you must temporarily leave Japan for an urgent reason, secure your room to prevent theft etc., prepare for contingencies during your travels, and contact your dormitory’s office to inform them of the destination and length of your trip.
